Client
CCPC - Money Tools / “We’re in your corner” campaign
The CCPC wanted to get more people using its new online comparison tool to explore mortgages, loans and savings options. With a broad audience to reach, market research helped shape the creative direction, highlighting how different age groups connected with different ways of telling the story. The challenge was to turn a practical financial service into something relevant and relatable to people at different stages of life.
Objective
End-to-end creative and 3D production. From concept development and art direction through environment design, modelling, character and prop animation, lighting, rendering and compositing. Delivering the final animated and static campaign assets.
My Role
Working with Havas Ireland, I created a series of playful 3D worlds and animations that brought these financial decisions into everyday life. From the excitement of moving into a new home to preparing a nursery or exploring loan options on a laptop, each scene offered a different way into the story. The campaign, “We’re in your corner” combined relatable life moments with clear demonstrations of the CCPC comparison tool, across animated videos and social media visuals.
Outcome
With the campaign theme We're in Your Corner, the challenge was to connect with a broad audience and help people make better informed financial decisions. Market research conducted by CCPC shaped two creative approaches: younger audiences connected with the emotional payoff of life's big moments. Buying a first home, getting a new car or preparing for a new arrival. Younger audiences in the research were drawn to these visuals. While older audiences responded more to direct visuals of people using the CCPC comparison tool. One approach showed what you're working towards; the other showed how to get there.
Working with Havas Ireland, I translated these insights into a series of playful, stylised 3D worlds, developing the environments, characters and animations that brought each scenario to life. By pairing relatable life moments with practical demonstrations of the comparison tool, the campaign showed how the right information can help people weigh up their options and feel more confident about their next move.
Every scene was set at home. The intention was to bring the CCPC tools into the places where life's big decisions actually happen. From a modern kitchen and a cosy nursery filled with plush toys and soft furnishings, to an older couple's living room dressed with printed wallpaper and little knick-knacks. Each environment had its own personality. A garage packed with tools and a workbench brought a car loan to life, while an empty-box-filled new home and a deliberately under-furnished rental told different stories about finding a place of your own.
The settings were varied, but the thinking was consistent: rather than placing the audience in a bank or financial institution, we showed how the CCPC comparison tool could fit naturally into everyday life, helping people explore their options and make better informed decisions from the comfort of their home.
Behind the Scenes
From the first scene setups to the final renders, I handled the 3D production from concept through to completion. This included developing the environments and props, preparing assets, building each scene and bringing the stories to life through animation. With a wide range of people represented across both static imagery and animated campaigns, the characters needed plenty of variation too. I worked on character rigging, adapting appearances and dressing characters with different clothing and accessories to suit each scenario.
Character animation was another big part of the process, and I was delighted to collaborate with Andrew Embury of Yellow Lab, who animated the nursery characters and the father's celebratory dance in the garage loan scene. I also took on character animation across the campaign myself along with all prop animation. Client feedback shaped everything from character performances to compositions and environmental details, requiring plenty of iteration and problem-solving to bring the different scenes together into one cohesive campaign, all against a tight deadline.
